I chose the name Sentinel of Dreams because the horse feels like a quiet guardian standing between the real world and the world of imagination. The open door toward the sea suggests new horizons, while the horse remains still, almost sculptural, as if protecting the moment before a dream begins.
There is something about this scene that feels calm, but also full of possibility. The horse is not running or fighting; it is simply present. For me, that stillness gives the piece its strength.
Artist’s Story
I have always liked the idea that some places seem to hold stories before we even live them. When I created this piece, I imagined a silent sentinel watching over an open doorway to a world full of possibility.
